Registration
How to Register, Step by Step
Applications run as a short wizard at trade.ojmetalrecycling.co.uk/auth/register.php. It takes a few minutes — here is each step so nothing surprises you.
Business Details
Choose your business type and enter your registered company name. Trading name, Companies House number, VAT number and waste carrier licence number are optional — but add them if you have them, as they speed up approval.
Your Contact
First and last name, plus the email address and phone number the account will run on. Use an email you actually read — approval and login details go there, and each email holds one account.
Business Address
Address line, city, county and postcode. Double-check the postcode — it decides routing and which collections are practical for your site.
Collection Sites
Your business address is pre-filled as the first site. Add every other yard, unit or branch where bins or collections will be needed — you can manage sites later from inside the portal too.
Materials & Volume
Estimate your monthly volume and list the materials you usually sell — copper pipe, armoured cable, aluminium, mixed ferrous and so on. This helps assign the right price list from day one.
Review & Submit
Check the summary screen, go back to fix anything, then submit. You will see an application-received confirmation — keep an eye on your inbox from there.

Trade Portal FAQs
Who can open a trade account?
Garages, contractors, factories, warehouses, workshops, landlords and other businesses producing regular scrap metal. Domestic one-off collections stay on the main website.
Do I get my own prices?
Yes. Every account is assigned a named price list visible in the portal, so your copper, brass, aluminium, cable and other materials are always assessed against known rates.
What if my email is already registered?
Each email holds one account. If you have applied before or need details changed, call 07793 020266 rather than registering twice.
Can I get repeat collections?
Yes — that is the point of the portal. Request one-offs as needed, and talk to us about repeat rounds if your sites produce scrap continuously. Larger commercial loads are covered on our commercial page.
